It was only last week that I was talking to clients about how it’s only a matter of time that Instagram mimics its big brother where advertising is concerned. Lo and behold Facebook announced today that lead generation advertising campaigns are available to advertisers on Instagram, taking Instagram advertising to the next level.
How do lead generation ads on Instagram work?
Similar to Facebook’s lead generation ads, Instagram will provide an opportunity for users to engage with the advertising campaign and enter their details in a form for submission.
We’ll be using this form of lead generation advertising very soon (#earlyadopters), though, if it’s anything like Facebook’s lead generation ads, it’s highly likely that the form will be pre populated with users’ email address, which means a lower barrier to entry and a higher conversion rate.
What’s even better about lead generation ads on Instagram?
Facebook has added the ability to connect your CRM and marketing tools along the likes of MailChimp, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, InfusionSoft (I’ve popped a link below to a comprehensive list of integrations*).
